Welcome! My name is Melissa Donnahoe and I am the Director of the Commercial Real Estate division for La Rosa Realty Greater Fort Lauderdale. I was born and raised in South Florida, which has enabled me to cultivate a personalized network like no other.
I was fortunate to begin my real estate career working as a Paralegal at a Real Estate Law firm. My time was spent reviewing contracts for accuracy, ordering lien searches, curing title defects, and negotiating liens with the city. This up-close experience with the legal workings of the real estate world gave me an important context for negotiating deals.
Since beginning my real estate career, I have been involved with hundreds of real estate transactions, representing buyers, sellers, investors and tenants in both residential and commercial real estate.
In order to become the most Certified Realtor possible, I have worked hard to hold and maintain certifications in e-Pro-NAR’s e-PRO® certification program that helps REALTORS® master the advanced digital marketing techniques of today. With the e-PRO® certification, REALTORS® increase their ability to reach customers, expand their capabilities, and build trust by safeguarding client information. The (SFR®) certification The Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR®) certification allow REALTORS® to hone the skills that will allow them to help buyers and sellers of distressed properties. I am also certified on both Equator and Resnet, which are two of the largest Short Sale and Foreclosure platforms. The LRCA designation – La Rosa Certified Agent requires agents to take high-level courses on how to best assist their clients from marketing to negotiations. The CPRES- Certified Probate Real Estate Specialist is earned only by those Realtors who take the extra time for continuing education and are sensitive and knowledgeable in the specific areas of Probate, Trusts, Conservatory, and Guardianship. Most of these certifications require continuing education to keep up with the ever-changing world of real estate.
I am currently a CCIM candidate and am taking classes towards my designation. CCIM stands for Certified Commercial Investment Member. The CCIM designation demonstrates that the designee has completed advanced coursework in financial and market analysis and demonstrated extensive experience in the commercial real estate industry.
I believe it is important to be involved in your Community and the Organizations you belong to. I am fortunate to be able to be involved in many local and national committees. I am a member of the Realtors® Commercial Alliance (RCA) of Broward, Palm Beaches and St. Lucie. I am a member of the Coral Springs and Coconut Creek Chamber of Commerce, the Women’s National Chamber of Commerce, the Coral Springs Governance Committee, and the National Women’s Council of Realtors. I will also have a seat on the National Commercial Alliance Committee in 2021. I am a member of the Massimo Elite Commercial Real Estate Coaching program. These positions allow me to continue building a refined and expert-filled network that I can put to work for my clients to provide them the best service possible.
My goal is to serve every client the way I would serve myself, with my four ‘R’ mantra: Represent, Research, Resolve, and Results. I will Represent my clients by looking out for their best interests, I will Research the best deals and relevant information for a client’s areas of interest, I will Resolve any potential issues through expert negotiations, and I will see a deal through to the end to provide the best Results.
